Stuck on "Connecting to Device"

Every once in a while, GameSalad gets stuck on "Connecting to Device" when I try to connect to my iPod with GS Viewer. It wouldn't be a problem except that if I try to exit GameSalad, it freezes up and I have to force quit it. Also, afterward the problem continues for at least 2 hours. I don't know exactly how long it lasts or what makes it stop except that it usually helps if I click renew lease on my iPods Wi-Fi connection (it doesn't always work though).

    I just updated today, but the problem has been an issue for every version I've had so far. I just got so irritated I finally decided to post in hopes that someone had the solution.

    I'm using 3.1.2. It's an iPod Touch 2nd generation. I followed the wiki exactly except I modified the file to allow the iPhone OS minimum to be 3.1.2 instead of 3.1.3.

    Well my iPod is jailbroken, and so I don't want to update. Do you know if it could be a router problem?

    I currently have it set to 3.1.2 and it wont install if it's on 3.1.3.
