If I wanted to make a free game application would Game Salad take 100% of the ad revenue? I read elsewhere that game salad makes a mandatory ad upon opening the application, but would I be able to have more ads later in the game that I would benefit from?

If you use the free 'version' of Gamesalad you can't place your own ads, and Gamesalad does place ads in your games that they get would get any income from (since you are using the software for free).
