It's time for SparkyBird to fly...
Hi, I hope all of you are doing well. For the past 9 1/2 months, I have been working on a project of a lifetime. I've shed blood, sweat, and tears over this (not to mention my social life, and a ton of money); and I have finally finished. I've created a mobile app/game that I believe will be bigger than angry birds, flappy bird, and candy crush. Of course I'm biased though. And I'd like you to try it, and possibly share this information with everyone you know to help me and my venture as well as get GameSalad back on the map with Apple and Google. I'd like it to become global by the end of the year (approximately 40 days from when I wrote this message to you).
My game is called SparkyBird. You can download it free from the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon. You can also download it from my site: http://sparkybird.com/
I hope that you love it; I still have a hard time getting past level 10 of the 100 levels... Anyways, I welcome any comments or feedback you can give me so that I can make it better... Have a great day!
Thanks,
Ashton Cox

lol, not that bad at all. At first i thought those white glowing things where UFO spaceships coming to earth for picnic.
Believe in your game that it can be bigger than others and it will be so. Looking forward to mine soon.
the only thing i did not see was when the enemies hit your bird, what then happens?
Hazmat suits. Lol, a bit extreme for dive bombing birds.
Cool game, I'd rather play it than flappy bird.
First of all, Good luck bro. It's nice to hear people expressing their dreams and working to make their dreams reality. Secondly, the game looks, from the vieo on your site, to be pretty awesome. Sorry I haven't downloaded it yet. thirdly I was wondering how you featured winners on your site. It seems like a cool Idea, but I don't know how you plan to implement it. Good luck! ~gamestudent
Oh P.s. What if you had an about the dev. tab on you website. I think that would be pretty legit.
Winners: When you save PurdyBird at the end, you will be prompted to complete an online form.
Thanks for the encouragement. That's a good idea about the Developer tab. You could click the MoneyButtonz icon at the bottom of the pages to go to my developer site, but I didn't think to send attention to that.. I will consider adding a tab later. I'm focusing on marketing right now...
Sysads... I'm confused about your comment. If you are seeing something screwy, let me know please. If you are playing SparkyBird on GS Arcade.. expect things to be a little 'off'.. No offense GameSalad... I still love you.
Back to Sysads... When the enemy hits Sparky, he drops to the ground and the evil scientist drops a cage on him. You should really consider downloading the game. It's better to play than to watch.. : )
Sysads.. I'm sorry. the white things (i'm sure you already know) are fireflies. And they're yellow. As you progress in the game, different colored bugs fly about, and they give SparkyBird different weapons.. like spray fire, rapid fire, bombs, boomerangs, power lines, and sonic booms.. you can also acquire (or pay for) Superbugs that give him some even cooler abilities. I'm not going to give a spoiler, but the graphics are awesome. All these details, minus the super powers, are explained in the help section from the main menu.
@MoneyButtonZ - I see you took offence in my comment , sorry if my comment was confusing. Like I said, your game is great, the concept is perfect.
No... I never take offense unless there's cursing. I appreciate the feedback.
OK good, now I have just one observation - and it all depends on what you had in mind. When I flap the bird and avoid killing the enemies, the game goes on. Correct me if I am wrong, did you put in-place any mechanism to force players to kill, like when enemies goes off screen, you loose a life or score or something to make me kill so the game does not end. There are different players with different intention, some just want to see what happens at the end of the game , I hope you understand what am saying.
GOOD QUESTION/COMMENT: The object to completing a mission is to "Kill" the big boss at the end of the level, and he won't come out unless you've racked up some points (not sure how many - every level is different). When the boss does come out, a 90 second timer starts in the bottom right corner. if you don't kill him in 90 seconds, Sparky loses his energy and drops to the ground.
OK brilliant. Best of luck...
GAMESTUDENT: I updated my site (specifically the Winners page) to explain how they are recognized when they save PurdyBird. Thanks for your input. It looks like I'm the 'student'..
