How to check if App Name is taken in new iTunes Connect?

What's up people. In the old iTunes connect, you could go to 'add app' only fill out the App Name field, and it would return telling you if the app name is taken or not. Now iTunes connect makes you fill out the bundle id, version, sku etc. before pressing submit. So if the app name is free, it automatically makes you create it.

Is there any way to check without adding more apps to my iTunes Connect page? Thanks

I don't think there is a way. I simply complete the entire submission process even loading sample screen shots. I do not Submit or load the final binary until I am ready.

Yes its a lot of extra work. However you have the added benefit of preserving your apps name. Additionally once you are ready to finally submit an app all you have to do is upload new screen shots and a video preview as you have already filled out the submission fields.

Now you don't need to add anything to secure your name. Just add the app, no need for screen shots and such anymore.
