A Case for Efficiency

I am not sure if anyone else is feeling it but the perpetual change and management of this change across the multiple platforms is starting to get to me. This is not a rant at anyone (especially not the poor souls at GS who have to deal with this more than anyone).
It is dealing with the continual OS changes, device releases, glitches and bug workarounds. I am looking at having to republish Apps to make sure they stay working with iOS8 and this will mean re-doing all the IAP stuff etc. I am starting to feel a little tired of it.
The indie developer is held hostage by all the systems he/she choses to engage with and yes I know this is all by free choice but it is time for a new age of efficiency in the App dev world - standards and systems need to establish.

I know it is not likely to happen for a long while. WC3 was all about trying to maintain standards in web publishing - the App world so far seems exempt from it somewhat.
I am not giving up just having a little whine and now I will have a break and get back to it.

((I also get the irony of me having posted about the AppleWatch and a new online app dev system))
