Free for testers

I've just released my first game Crackshot

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pockettect.crackshot at $1.20

I was wondering if you guys thought it would be a good idea to start off the game for free for say a week and head to this forum and let people know so I'm able to get some reviews on how the game plays on various devices?

Do you think that would be a good idea? At the moment the game is in the "waiting for review" stage on the IOS App Store. On the App store the game will be free with In App purchases allowing you to unlock the full game. As IAP's aren't yet possible on Android with GameSalad I figured I'd just start the game off at $1.20AUD

If after that week I updated the game and changed it back to $1.20 on the Google play store would the reviews and number of installs remain?

As you can probably tell I'm new to all of this so any advise would really be appreciated!

Cheers

You can also offer promo download codes here on the forum, but keep the price on the store the way it is.

@pHghost‌ That would be good but Google play and Amazon don't offer promo codes like the App Store does.

Do you know if I change the price back to free the reviews will remain?

Dunno. With Apple, you normally only see the reviews for the latest version I think, you have to click a button to see reviews for all versions.
