Just noticed that also. Its still nice but not sure if I like it more.
Could it be the reason why they still haven't reviewed my app after 9 days?

  • pHghostpHghost London, UKMember Posts: 2,342

Yes, it's changing, though obviously still a work in progress. Some parts switch to the old look. I do quite like it, but must say it is definitely not optimized for smaller displays -- on my non-retina 13-inch MacBook Pro, things stretch so wide it isn't practical. Ah well, another reason to upgrade soon.

@timolapre1998‌ -- dunno, I've had at least two apps approved in that time. They did take a bit longer than previously, though, so possibly. Maybe they changed their UI first and now all the reviewers are confused. :D

Looks a bit more like Amazon now. With horizontal menus and such. A bit more ios7 too.

I believe the app submission process has also changed a bit. The uploaded build need to go through a "Processing" stage before it can go into "Submit for Review" stage.

  • zypp1zypp1 Member Posts: 142

@timolapre1998 i also have an app waiting for 9 days and counting. new look is ok but bit annoying to have to find sections you need like reject a binary and add another

I notice uploading a new binary is different now, you now have to reject a binary and can't use same binary version number from game salad publishing page. it has to change 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 etc

and you select what binary to use in iTunes connect frustrating

otherwise error of duplicate binary number. occurs

also application loader seems different (shorter sequences) can upload many app versions without changing iTunes app, again can select what one from iTunes page.

    hope it helps you guys

waiting for review since 12 days for my newest app
and another 20 apps (patches) also waiting for review.

Do you say i Have to reject and resub them all?

  • ajb225ajb225 Member, PRO Posts: 12

As soon as the new iTunes connect went live my app was rejected and I can no longer see my binary on the app page. Also the resolution center has now gone completely blank after I sent communications to them. Looks like they are having some big teething problems, is anyone else experiencing this?

My last game was in review for nearly 2 weeks before being rejected today due to missing info in the submission that was in fact provided. A tad annoying. Seems too much of a coincidence that they rejig Connect a day before rejecting an app for missing info on pages that have just been moved.

I am also having problems with the new itunes connect, I would upload a file size of 11.8 MB and on itunes connect it would say that is 5 MB. Not sure if they will reject my app.......does anyone else see a difference in file size?

It's iTunes Connect... but not as we know it ;)

Hmm it also seems if your uploading a version 1.0 to a previously developer rejected binary you keep getting warnings/errors in application loader while uploading! pretty annoying as I'm currently not sure how to remove the previous version 1.0!!

    anyone know anything about this!

    @jay2dx‌

You have to change the version to like 1.0.1 in GameSalad publishing and then you would be able to upload your binary. Hope this helps!

Yeah thanks man, I've done that and uploaded a 1.1 but a little worried as the 1.0 never went into review! It was just waiting for review, On the older connect you could just upload a new 1.0, after developer rejecting the binary, I basically found a bug rite after it going into waiting for review! Just a learning curve of the new system I guess! But seems silly! Hoping this doesn't cause some apple tester to reject my 1.1 being the first version??

Does someone know where I can select idfa? Cant find it anymore.
    Thanks,

  • stahboystahboy Member, PRO Posts: 150

    @timolapre1998

I don't think you can select it until you submit for review when it goes to the ready to upload page.

yeah IDFA is bugging as !@#$% really annoying.
I got rejected by them because they Couldn't find use of IDFA!
But when i upload new build I get this message, even tough i check it as always.

"We have discovered one or more issues with your recent delivery for "Two Points - The beginning of a fantastic puzzle journey". Your delivery was successful, but you may wish to correct the following issues in your next delivery:

Improper Advertising Identifier [IDFA] Usage - Your app contains the Advertising Identifier [IDFA] API but you have not indicated its usage on the Prepare for Submission page in iTunes Connect.

After you’ve corrected the issues, you can use Xcode or Application Loader to upload a new binary to iTunes Connect.

    Regards,

    The App Store team"

and i checked it and that was also the reason for the reject.

    They are contradicting themselves.
I really hate their automated responses if you contact them via iTunes connect too.

If you uploaded a game before new format thats still waiting on review on site I would suggest you go and hit save at the top right, it might toss up some errors that need to be filled out.

After i changed my version number in both itunesconnect and gamesalad publishing page, i still got the the error of duplicate binary number. after so many times of generating app, still unable to get thru. any suggestion?

Add 0.1 to your version number iTunes connect. So if the last version you tried to submit is 1.3, change it to 1.4 (or 1.3.1, whatever you prefer). Then change the version in GS Publishing portal to the same new number.

    Hopefully it will work.

Have changed my version number from 1.0, 1.1.1, 1.2 1.3 to 2.0. Both itunesconnect and gamesalad portal version also saved and generated. but somehow still not working after iTunes connect changed it looks. hmmmm... weird have been thinking thru what have i done wrong in the process.

if you add a new version number you also have to upload a new binary.

Nope, after save, you need to upload the new updated binary.

I think I have reached to a point of "run out of idea" zone

So far these are what I have done for my past success app

Anyone ...Pls share with me what have I done not right during the process on this new look ituneconnect . I value each and everyone sharing...

    Gs publish website
    -Updated my version no
    - click generate
    - look for my prov profile
    - select output location
-zip file and app file created

    Itunesconnect

    • go to my " prepare for submission" app
    • change version number which must be the same version number as my generated file
    • click save with all particulars filled up ( except my build)
    • proceed to application loader

    Application loader

    • select my zip file
    • click upload

    Error itms 4238

Is there anything which I done wrong?

So far I have zero build in my iTunes connect. But it seems that the error is telling me that I have an existing binary duplicate ranging from 1.0 to 2.0 ( soon to be 5.0 which I hope I no need to do till that extend)

Felt so helpless when so near yet so far situation I am in.
