My app has been in review for 4 days, is this normal?

The first time I uploaded my app it took 6 days and then was rejected, I appealed for the app rejection because I don't believe the reason was at all valid and was a mistake on apple, not the app itself. I think they agreed to what I said because my app went back into review almost instantly after I sent the email. Now it has been 4 days and it is still 'In Review' and I am confused as to why my very small game has been in review for so long. Before it was rejected it was only in review for 5 hours. Any advice or information would be great

You really just have to wait it out, not much else you can do.

Perfectly normal. At busy times wait times can go above 20 days. Normally it's around 3-7 in my experience.

Yes but that is in terms of the whole review process eg. 'waiting for review'.. However my app has been 'in review' for 4 days, meaning apparently someone at the app review team is looking at my app as we speak and has taken 4 days to decide whether I can upload it to the app store or not and this person is apparently still not done.
That is not normal for "In Review", waiting for review is a different story. I have one "In Review" now, so I will let you know what happens there. The last two recent games I had were "In Review" for a few hours each.
Sorry, you're right - well spotted. I misread!
The longest I've been in review was 4 days, and that - like this - was over a bank holiday weekend (not sure if it is for those guys too). If the reviewer hits the button to start the review then goes home for the weekend before ending it, it's not that uncommon to end up with a 3 day review.

usually an app review takes 7-10 days for a new app..

@Armelline @AIM -- the Apple review process is not subject bank holidays or weekends, for that matter. It is 7 days a week, apart from times when Apple announces the system will be inactive (usually around Christmas, in the least).
In Review for 4 days is loong -- but it may have something to do with the fact that you appealed the original review, they might be possibly looking at the app more thoroughly.
What was the original reason for rejection?
I've had review times stretch a weekend several times. They may review over the weekend, but if your app gets tagged as being reviewed, I think it's not unheard of that that particular reviewer the takes a weekend off. Either that or I've been very unlucky.

@Armelline, wait are you telling me that Apple employees get time off!?!?!?!

Only when they're reviewing @AIM's game.

My game just got approved, 5 hours "In Review", so I am pretty happy with that. I am not sure why it is taking them so long to approve your game. I have only had the "In Review" process last more than a day twice, one was approved and one was rejected. So, no help there.
TShirtbooth had an app that was "In Review" for over 30 days before it got approved once. No telling what takes some apps just a couple of hours, and some apps a couple of days/weeks to get approved.
This tend to be fairly accurate

Yea it takes about a week... when they review it you'll get an email saying something like "Your app is being processed for the app market" Good luck hope you post your game on the forums so I can test it out and give it a 5 star!
I've had a game that was in review for multiple days. Not an insane time like a week or more, but I think it was in review for a good 4-5 days.
