Struggling with windows creator manual?

Hey,
New to GameSalad, and im following the windows creator manual step by step, but ive hit a snag with rules! Ive followed the manual exactly but cant get my spaceship to move? i even tested the basic shoot em up template and it dosent work either?
Im using windows 8.1 on a surface Pro if that helps narrow down the problem.

    @paul_doodles‌ That's quite odd! I just downloaded the template on my Windows computer and noticed some similar issues so I'll be sure to let some people know and see if they can get it worked out.
