Yeah congrats!!!! Are you kidding! You read my thread 2 weeks ago about how to do this, as I was stuck with some rules! You've obviously read the thread and help offered with no input from your self but took the help I got and released the game! In a rather sparse manna too I should add! Thanks for that!!! I guess you really have to watch what you ask on these forums!
Thanks guys! @jay2dx I did not read the thread man. Still finish your game it always can work out.
Really exciting right now it was lucky time too there is this sport event/team called Three points and their team just created a very active hashtag we tapped into by tweeting about the game, since both are games it kind of worked and is now under the hashtag under the first pics. Pure luck.
Also we had a powerful site called app advice kicking off the first review lot of tweets and reviews followed and it rocketed.
Best thing for me it brought back the believe that the little man can do it.
No Marketing money invested. Only own social media channels used and normal launch downloads brought it to role.

You didn't market you last game (pewdiepug) either and it got pretty big too. I guess you are very lucky.. But this was actually a great game, it will be in the top 25 in a few days!
Man that's alot of downloads
How about iAds? Should get alot of impressions with those download numbers and that gameplay.
Fullscreen ads will break the flow of the game a bit.
Just some thoughts
The next couple days determines what type of developer you are.
You see personally, I would take this chance to build up a really big user/fan base. Forget about the ads and the making money and focus on creating a happy user experience. Full ads ruin the user experience. Result in some bad reviews etc.
If your going for a long run as a developer, make them tweet about the game and give it to them ad free. You are pumping out game every few weeks.
Then when you release your next game, you can spend that extra time on it adding those extra things that make it better, because you will know you have mass user base you can target to at the palm of your hand.
Otherwise you can cash in, lose some fans, including myself, and continue hoping for the hit or misses.
That is some hefty advice there @Jeromy and pretty much hits the nail on the head. There is plenty of time to sneak ads in. Personally I would switch iAds on as they won't annoy anyone and leave revmob & chartboost out of it. If and when you do introduce full page ads i would sneek one in every 5 or so gameovers. Best of luck Dave.
right now we have 80 000 Downloads (2-3 days) for the app.
The result in iAd is 80 Dollar.
So somehow it just feels like we are so high now and come out with this pocket money kind of hurts in the stomach. I really wanna continue doing it and money runs out so I have to think more aggressive.
I did this for version 1.1:
Full screen ad on lose every 3.
Premium button -> Page to remove all ads for 0.99 and support me as Indie dev
(including the restore button)
After 180 seconds when not in the gameplay (in the menu)-> show rate game pop up.
Rating will tripple all score made in the game permanently.
The last rewarded rate the app trick went extremely successful with Pewdiepug.
From 10 reviews we went up to 360 reviews in one week.
Which resulted in like 500 positions up.
I would avoid interstitial ads if I were you, they are very annoying for players (I stopped playing your game The Sha Man after the last update, because it became unbearable). The only thing you will achieve this way is bad reviews and people avoiding your apps

Yet again, sad day for developers. Everyone just wants a free game and no consideration for the time and money that goes into it.
Love this mentality of "no I won't pay $1 for your game to try it out cause so many scrote bags have jipped me on crappy games but in also gonna delete your game if you put ads in there."
The even sadder thing is I bet if he put a $1 IAP to remove the ads you guys would also throw a fit. Everyone wants something for nothing.
@bigdave I say drop in your interstitial ads. The people you lose won't Matter anyways cause they will never pay you for yor efforts. Personally is much rather click through a full screen ad over seeing a constant iAd anyways.
And at $80 for 80,000 downloads that's terribly sad for iAds. You used to be able to pull in that much on 5-10k worth of downloads.
Congrats on your success!!! I hope you are lucky enough to keep it going.
@pHghost Nice to know some people played the shaman ))
Jeah but shaman has hardcore version of fullscreen ads they come on every screen change. Actually that was the type of game i really loved to build, gameplay wise..
Gonna decrease the ads there right now.
@BazookaTime
no not at all! the us store doesn't see's the app at all. They seem to not communicate.
even tough the app now reached place 1 in spain puzzle category haha freaking awesome.

@BigDave are you seeing some good results in the US Market as well? I always wondered if being featured in one Country had any carry over.
@RossmanBrothersGames yeah i started september 2013 shipped the first game "the sha man" end of november. 50 downloads..
