Adding things to Google Maps.

Hello everyone.
I'm new to this forum I just signed up today.

I was wondering if anyone who saw the "Google Maps Pokemon Challenge" has any Idea how to include stuff in the map, like they did with the Pokemon which you had to look around the map to find them, then tap it to catch it.

This was out for only 1 day as an April fools joke, but the concept is really awesome and was wondering if anyone knows how to do it.

Here is a video on what I am talking about, please note this video dose not belong to me.

GameSalad doesn't have access to other apps. And you wouldn't be allowed to use images or screenshots from Google Maps, either. Google just did it for April Fools.

You could, however, make your own maps, and make the characters randomly pop up somewhere. Although, you wouldn't be able to use Pokemon images legally.

Thank you for your input, there are allot of open source maps out there that allow you to use their code and of-course I wont use Pokemon images, I will design a game around this concept not just randomly pop out anywhere but when you are outside walking around they appear within lets say 100 meters from where you are.

But since this is a first I was wondering how to make them pop up.

If anyone is interested in this idea and wants to work together with me, feel free to drop me a PM, I want to work with dedicated partners where we can share the input not just pay someone for their time then be done.

It won't really be possible the way you are describing since GameSalad does not communicate with other apps, and it has no communication with a devices GPS system, nor will it accept source code from another application. You could do this with XCode, or possibly another SDK, but which SDK outside of Xcode would allow this, I don't know.

It's a really cool idea you have, but unfortunately, GameSalad is limited in the functions you are wanting to implement.
