Parental Gates
From reviewing the various posts in this community and examining the GS program itself, it is not apparent how to insert a parental gate for ads or even control this behavior. For example, when using the free version I submitted my first app and in iTunes connect set up the game to be sold to children. Apple rejected the app because there was no parental gate as required by Apple. This seems to be something that needs to be integrated within GS or at least make it apparent to users that your app will be rejected if your target audience is children and using the free version. When using the free version there is no choice but to serve up Game Salad advertising and there is no way to preview what this would be in the final product. How do I integrate the Parental Gate when using Game Salad's free service? (I assume by upgrading to the Pro version one can remove ads completely and not have an issue with parental gates)

A parental gate is just a feature that requires some action by the user that is determined to be kid-proof. This usually takes the form of a swipe in a certain direction, tapping and holding an area of the screen, answering a simple math problem, etc. It's easy to program in GS. If you need help setting this up, just post again here.
Correct. If you upgrade to Pro, your app will no longer have ads unless you choose to insert them.
