Is it possible to convert an MP3 sound to PNG or JPEG?

Hi,

I'm new to all this game creation and in need of a little help. I have purchased a SFX for a game I'm trying to create but it's an MP3 file and when I have tried to open it in my game it's not showing as on the Game Salad I'm using it will only open JPEG, PNG etc, not MP3.

Can I convert this from an MP3 file to either of the others after purchase? It only cost £1.80 so I'm not that bothered, just glad I didn't get a load of other stuff too.

Please help if you can.

Hi Pratt82, welcome to gamesalad. First thing is are you trying to import sound or images?? Because MP3 is sound and it cannot be converted to image i.e. JPEG or PNG because it is image. However if your trying to import sound to Gamesalad, convert MP3 to WAV which is accepted by Gamesalad. You can get free Mp3 to Wav convertor if you search at google. Hope this helps you.

I'll give this a try. Thanks. Do you recommend a particular convertor or will any do the job just as good as the next?
