When will the video "Adhoc Testing: From Start To Finish - GameSalad Tutorial Part 2" come out

bij_sbij_s Member Posts: 23

I've probably spent 10 hours on this and am starting to give up. First video was good but second video hasn't come out and it's almost impossible for one to figure it out on their own. Is it clear when the video is coming out?

    This page should help: https://help.gamesalad.com/hc/en-us/categories/200134158/
Look for publishing and adhoc testing.

It doesn't! It's not that detailed and up-to-date according to Apple's latest changes.

To be honest, I find the instructions and steps described here to be confusing. It takes one a lot of time to understand how things are done specially during the publishing of the app.

@bij_s‌ its a pain in the ass if youve never done this before i agree. I youtubed and cookbooked the hell out of it and eventually got there. I have to say the cookbook was the most up to date i could find for it last year when i started. Most important thing is you have a provisioning profile for adhoc testing (see developer site apple), download this adhoc provisioning profile and add it to xcode, have the same bundle id as your game and publish via GameSalad publishing using the adhoc provisioning profile.

Then go to xcode, plug in your device, go to applications and click add, then you should be able to find and add your adhoc app in the folder you saved it when publishing and it should download on your device.

Dont give up, if i could do it you can.

Guys...I made an adhoc video...up to date...it's 45 mins long buy covers all aspects of adhoc via Xcode and testflighting. Problem is it's like 5 gigs in size and my satellite internet will burn up my months worth of data....unless I use the 2am to 8am time frame...so tonight I'm setting my alarm to get up at 2am to upload it.....the things I do for you !!!! :-). It should be available by sometime tomorrow. I'll bump my video tutorial thread as soon as it's ready to view.

Great stuff Thunder_Child, there is certainly a need for a decent video covering the whole process. :)

Thanks @Thunder_Child. This is for TestFlight. I don't have testflight and Apple doesn't accept new developer accounts for TestFlight. You cannot add new testers either if you didn't have an account before.
I'm surprised to see that GameSalad is not providing better instructions on this. It is certainly a huge pain point for a large number of members here.

Thanks @Braydon_SFX...Your part 2 video will also be helpful.

Hmmm. So you can't use Testflight? Did you try the Xcode method at the end of the video? I had no idea Apple had control of Testflight.

What minute in the video are you referring to?

  • Thunder_ChildThunder_Child Member Posts: 2,343

@bij_s‌ The Xcode portion of the video starts at about 40min
