Hi, I wanted some opinions on the gameplay for Burst Blade. I want to know your opinions on the game, enemies, and characters. If you have a browser that supports RI, and zoom in to about 250%, you should be able to see the hero characters are in high res, and the enemies and backgrounds are not. I'm still deliberating wether to upgrade all the others to a higher level of resolution, or just bring down the playable characters instead.

Arcade demo{some attacks and graphics are glitchy in html5 mode for some reason}.

Knight:

{For example, the pink orbs for the Princess can be used defensively to block enemy attacks, and offensively by having laser attacks stay and loop for continuous damage.} The Knights signature move that causes him to flare at the feet and speed up also increases damage of his jousting attacks if used at the same time, but this has yet to be implemented. Each character has 7 special attacks that you scroll through by tapping the sphere icon at the top. The Princess is missing her final attack, as I have to illustrate the animation of two intertwining lasers and also figure out how to seamlessly have it stream like attack #4{the straight and quick laser that grows as you hold the button down, all the while draining more energy per second the bigger it gets.}

Finally, here are some concept arts of various characters that could have been in the game, but I ended up choosing the high speed, two handed sword knight and laser princess. Let me know what you think of the other characters on the page as well. You can zoom in by clicking the image below and clicking on it again.

At present, when this game is finished, I plan to have a secret character from that list, most likely a dragon, gunslinger, or insect.

    It looks like it should be an interesting game. I like the anime style. Good luck with it.

    @FallacyStudios: Thanks! Once the game mechanics are done, I'm going to begin work on the levels.

    I forgot to put these in the original posts, but gifs of higher res versions of the sprites:
