Can you use a debit card in the marketplace?

sorry to have a second topic, but i would like a clear idea as I have been trying for two days to purchase on the marketplace.
Do you need to have a credit card? or does a visa debit card work? i would like to buy the assets from the marketplace and i would also like to go pro in a month, but id like a clear answer
