Problem with volume of sounds, please help!

I imported voiceovers in my project this week. When I opened my project again today, the volume of several voiceovers (imported as sounds) is turned down, while there is nothing changed in the settings or rules. The voiceovers sounds far away instead of rich and full.
I imported and linked the mp3's again but nothing changed. It is strange that the voiceovers play well in the Library, but not in the scenes.
**Could anyone help me please? I'm creating this app for my master thesis and I need a working version next Monday! **

If you are adding a sound, use the play sound attribute and use the volume/pitch to adjust to the setting you require. default for both is 1. If you go 0.5 - it will make is quieter, 1.5 makes it louder.

Volume only goes up to 1, making it 1.5 won't be any louder than 1.

Thanks for your help guys! I solved it but it had nothing to do with the volume, the positional sound and the size of the actors were the disturbing factors. The actor wherein the voiceover was established, were characters of the game. Those characters differed in size across different scenes. The smaller the actor, the worse the sound. When I set the sound in a new, large actor, i get a rich and full sound.

The size of an actor has no effect on the volume of the sound.
You are probably increasing the size of an actor by grabbing a handle on one side and then dragging to make it larger - this will, of course, move that actor's centre point by half the amount you drag the side handle - and with positional sound checked this will give you the illusion that an actor's size effects its volume as the bigger you make it, the more you are offsetting the centre point . . . . but size and volume aren't connected in any way, you can make an actor 1x1 pixel or 1024 x 1024 pixels and its volume will be exactly the same.
Hello @Lieke As @Socks says, the size of an actor has no bearing at all on any sound volume.
But what can seem to affect the sound is if you have Positional Sound checked in the Play Sound behaviour. This is because the sound panning to one side or another will be playing less of the opposite side the actor is travelling to. (Stereo sounds, at least - I think - mono sounds should just pan with the volume unaffected).
