Help with making my charecter move(im completely new to this!)

So im completely new to game developemnt and i confused as how do i make my game charecter move to the right with a touch(im doing a game for ipad)? i have the animation set and all i can get to do is make the charecter walking in place than he begins to move across the screen as i click the mouse.. i dont know if i made my self clear but all i really need is to make my charecter walk left when i click on the screen and to stop when i let go can you show me how this can me be done! thanks!

Start by using the support tab at the top of the page.....

If that doesn't answer it, (in this case it will) and most other cases too.... Use the search button at the top right hand corner of the page....

What you're trying to do is trigger an actor using another actor. Click the link that Tempowebdesign provided you with and go down to triggering an actor. Tshirtsbooth did a very nice tutorial on how to do it-that's how I figured it out!
