Publishing to anything other than HTML5 free?

Is there any way to publish for anything BUT HTML5 for free? (Before mentioning iDevices, I mean free, no expensive yearly cost from Apple.

For Mac/Kindle stuff, I apparently need a Mac to sign the app, I use a PC.

From a PC people use a service called Mac in the cloud to sign their apps for Apple. As for expensive $99 for an Apple developer license isn't much. When you get into developing it's basically a business as one is building a product and selling it to make money. Any business requires some investment. If you can't or aren't willing to invest in yourself then maybe independent development isn't for you.

And for Kindle/Android you don't need a Mac to sign the app, but need GS Pro account.

Pro account. That's the problem. I have a few games I'd love to be playable natively on a piece of hardware, but I'm broke.

No it's not expensive. But it is when you're a uni student. Developing games isn't about making money for me. It's about telling a story and expressing myself through what I make. And I would just love to have a game on something other than a little HTML5 player with no fullscreen ability and painfully slow load times. After Uni I'll be able to afford a pro account, as for now, I'm living on a maintinence loan

Granted @callumhurley@remasteredmedia.co.uk‌, but if you want to take up painting you have to also buy paint, canvas, etc.

As a matter of fact, if you were a hobby painter you would pay far more than $99 a year for materials.

Except the tools are free here. It's more like if a hobby painter happened to get lots of free materials, but didn't have enough money to get it shown properly and professionally.

They are free here as long as your satisfied with the free option... :)

If that painter got every color free except blue and he wanted blue, then he has to go buy it.

I'm not arguing that it's not great. I think it's fantastic that GameSalad offer any kind of support for free at all. I was just simply asking if there were any other free platforms.
