Developing a game on gamesalad - newbie need help to understand what I need in terms of basics

Hi all,

I want to learn app development. But I'm not sure where to start as there are many levels of C and then there is advance app development. I want to learn the basics first so I can understand gamesalad. Any recommendations? what books to use or course to take?

Hi @aroob1989, for GameSalad you don't need to know any C, but structured thinking helps.

Just install GameSalad, go through the introduction

and some of the tutorials here online

then play, play, play and experiment.

There are also hundreds of videos on youtube, just search for "GameSalad Tutorial"

There are a bunch of good beginner tutorials at my site, linked in my signature below. As mentioned above there is no need or benefit to learning C or any other language when using GS since its drag and drop.
