SLIDING TABS?

Hi, i was wondering if anyone knew how to make sliding tabs. Eg. While in the play scene theres a small tab on the side and if u pull or drag it across, a sliding animation that covers one quarter of the screen will show. Its used in many popular games. (If you don't understand ask me to explain more) THANKS
