How do I assign tags?

I know I can drag and drop actors from "all" tag into any other tags I create, but I have to many actors so I cannot drag an actor from the top of the list to a new tag at the bottom. The library doesn't scroll when I try to drag them down and if i try to click on the drop down for select tags in the actor attributes it will not let me select anything, so how do I assign these actors to have tags. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@MikeProject You can change the size of the actors tab by dragging the bottom bar down, other than that not much else you can do

I realize if I just tag each actor as I make them instead of waiting until they are all there and organizing after the fact, I don't run into any problems. thanks for your response.
