Hi all!

My very first game so please go easy on me! Flappy Bird was the game that really got me into game making, and so I wanted to create a game similar to Flappy Bird but different if that makes sense  .

I'm no artist so the graphics aren't very good - but I thought I'd give it a shot and I find I'm learning  .

All you have to do is keep a ball in the air by tapping the screen when the ball gets inside the red area.

Please give it a try and give me some feedback. It's a very simple game but just wanted to have something that I put together to really learn GameSalad and the publishing process.

You can download the game for Android here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yottigame.keepuppa

At this particular time it was just published a couple of hours ago so may not fully show in the Play Store yet.

Thanks. Please remember not to be too critical on me as this is my first time, but if you can recommend anything for a future version please do pop them in!

Thanks!

  • John.

I believe criticism is the best way to push yourself, Very good for your first game, I was going to release mine the day my hard drive failed. I personally think there's a few easy updates you could do for your game.

    • Images for the ball
    • Moving clouds (something to spice up the background
    • Powerups?

If you wanted PM me, I don't mind giving some tips, tutorials, etc. I'll be able to help you with templates too once my new hard drive arrives

    @SmokeyAce73 thanks!

Definitely will try implementing these in an update, thanks!

And ouch, that sounds painful about your hard-drive. Fortunately I've never had a problem with any of my hard-drives, but I always like to keep a copy of my work on a USB stick as well just in case.

    Hi all,

Thanks to the advice from @SmokeyAce73 I have made some changes.

I have created a preview on YouTube:

Still need to work on the ball, but I hope to release this update possibly tomorrow once I've fully tested it on my Android device.

    Thanks!
