can I compress sound file like tinypng does to an image file?

in Working with GS (PC)

Hi, I have a lot of sound file and after I loaded them to the GS, the preview only played one scene and then stopped. The GS did not stop and I can still go back to editor mode, so I was wondering if it is because the sound files made the preview crashed and if I could shrink the size of sound file like the tinypng does to image file. If the sound is not the issue, does anyone know why the preview stopped working? Thanks!

    Thanks! I have been using audacity for editing but I didn't realize it reduces file size as well. I usually convert my file into ogg using an online program and then edit it in audacity. Is this the right way to do it? Thanks!
