I am currently developing a game for ipad in Gamesalad (resolution independence). The game will be in portrait. I created the background image for my game in illustrator, image size is 1536 x 2048, which is the size of an ipad screen. However, upon import and drag + drop image on stage, I am faced with my image soooooo big that I have to scroll left right or up down to see the end of it. What am I doing wrong?

Have a look at your scene settings, are they really iPad dimensions?
Or have a look at your actor, which width/height does he have? If these values are vastly bigger than expected, then have a look at this link ...

... since you are on PC.

Make an actor for the image and make the acors size 1528 x 2048 and drag the actor onto the stage not the image
