Congrats. Although I would suggest putting up some gameplay on your android store page.

Thanks man. Quite True. Will get on that. As a game though what do you think?

I like it, wasted a good fifteen minutes when you put it up on the arcade!

@Mcrtom. Cool man. Had it up there before but it just disappeared into the many apps coming from here. Will add it again over the weekend.

Firstly, congratulations on getting an app built and released !

The concept of the game is good, and definitely has that "Grrr! One more go" Factor.. So for that nice one!

There are however a few things you might want to consider - that might help (in my opinion) polish things up a bit with the app.

    • The APK file is 8.5mb (12.3mb uncompressed on device) - why is it so large?

    • The Music file you use is a 4.3mb Stereo OGG file. You'd be better off using an mp3 file with a much greater compression ratio. This'll also improve the load times between scenes.

    • On my Galaxy Nexus phone, it takes 12 seconds to load the GAME SCREEN. Quite a long time, for a simple game with a lite interface. I would suggest compressing the audio, using mp3, and looking at your PNG files.

    • The ICON for the app looks like an after thought and distorted in the Y [Vertical] axis. Maybe scale the Cat image down in ratio to fit on the background.

    • The Yellow & Green colour scheme isn't probably the best contrasting colour gamuts to choose. Maybe use colours which compliment each other a little more?

    • At the start of the game: As you are waiting for the game to load (spiny GS wheel).. You don't quite know when it's going to start - then it does and the cats rush in too quick. Maybe have a 'landing' page, that starts the game mechanics once the scene is loaded.

    • The Hit area around the CATS is not accurate. As your Cat Actors are elongated, the CIRCLE Physics area is sized to the largest dimension. You'd be better off having a SQUARE PNG file/Actor (equal size X & Y), then using the Circle Physics method.

    • The name of the app that installs on the Phone is [Testing123]... This will cause confusion with users, locating the app next time around on their devices (see screen shot below).

    • Art: The cats in the game are technically 'flying around', based on the stock-art used. You'd be better off using a background image looking Down on a room..

Name of App as installed from Google Play Store:

All that aside - I do like the game concept.

@wayneh001 Hey man. Thanks for the feedback. Gona get back to this again over the weekend and will definitely work on the above. Glad you liked the "Grrr! One more go" Factor.. That was the main thing I was going for. Have to figure out how to do it better though I think.
