Moving an actor THROUGH a the scene

Hi guys, completely new to game salad and right now I'm really loving it. I won't really understand 100% of the advice you might give me but in the future I will, and maybe for now it can help some others. Searched the forums to no avail.
So my question is can you make your actor, the main character in this case, move through the scene...as in from the bottom of the screen to the top. Actually, I guess the actor wouldn't be moving at all but the scene would be moving from top to bottom making it appear as though the actor was walking through the scene.
Explaining my idea might make more sense. I want to make a simple stick figure walking on a tight rope. The tight rope looks as though it goes on forever and the object of the game would be to simply balance the actor as he auto walked on the tight rope. The user would tilt the device to give the feel that they are actually balancing on this tight rope and dodging spawned actors having to make their character "lean" out of the way. The scene would move past the user, not to the left or the right but an endless scroller toward the user.
Thanks for any help you can provide this wet behind the ears game salad(er)!

To start with, in order to move the scene or obstacles past the player, you would... move the scene background or obstacles. To do this, you can use the Move or Accelerate behavior, for example, with the direction set to 270° (down).
@jamie_c has some great tutorials, including a platformer tutorial (horizontal but you can get some good ideas):
