More on the Flappy saga that crushed it and Depression Quest developer.

Play video games. Have fun. Be good to each other.

That is a nice way to sign off an article.

    I hate trolls.

I remember the golden age of online gaming. People use to actually help out and have fun and say things like, "Good game!" at the end of the match. I consider those people true gamers. But somewhere after Diablo II and counter-strike the online gaming community developed a problem. It became very popular. The internet in general became a place for not just gamers and nerds, but lifeless ass-holes as well.

Somewhere after it became a thing to just bother people "for fun" (whatever that means) it actually became a thing for evil people to be evil.

I remember the day chatting to my fellow gamers through headsets died, never to return to plugging in my mic. My brother was playing halo and someone was screaming profanity at him for doing well. My brother told him to go eat a cheeseburger, trying to make light of the fact that he was mad over a video game. I can't describe how infuriated this person got. He was apparently super offended.

I'm just not going to deal with that.

Totally agree - there's perhaps a part of society that was not in to it then and as that changed and more evil crept in as everybody comes online we enter the era of the dark side - beware of the dark side.

I still play WC3 TFT and always start with HF and GL and always finish with GG.

More and more we are going to have network, source information and socialise with the people we know and trust which is sad in a way as the networking with like minded strangers is such a beautiful thing - my girlfriend and I travelled the world and stayed with two people I met through DailyBooth and met up with more too - so cool to have people you meet like that show off their city and already know them in a way that is kind of weird at first but you get over that real quick and it's so cool.

Don't forget the good sides of all of this.

I kind of hope these evil types are young and don't know better, the bully types who have their own issues anyway - that's another thing. Most of the hate amounts to nothing and is from people who don't have an understanding of what it takes to make something special that's close to your heart what a leap of faith that is.

Some people troll to post on YouTube and gain viewers, some do it for the laugh, and some do it express negative feelings. The list goes on and on. I have encountered numerous trolls on Xbox Live, YouTube, and other online areas. It's very sad to say that some people make a living off trolling. How you may ask? Well a very simple answer is once again YouTube. People like MinnesotaBurns make me laugh, but all he does is mess with people. He makes tons of money off what he does, not enough to make a living off it but still.

Sometimes we just have to ignore them, because once you "feed the troll" it just gets worse, especially when you may be being secretly recorded using a capture card and posted on the internet, where you reputation will sky rocket in the opposite direction(downwards). So what I am trying to say? It's simple, trolls are at the bottom of the food chain where they always try desperately to fool people and embarrass them.

However, some people perform their tricky deeds for the good of the internet. MinnesotaBurns for example, trolls hackers, cheaters, boosters and exposes them. Yes I may have said that he was a pain in the butt, however, he is doing a very good thing despite the fact of his consistent shenanigans. I may be confusing a lot of people so I will cut to the chase, Trolls are like a double edged sword. Many times they do it for the bad, but sometimes they can be your best friend in a certain situation.
