Purchesed Game Template Wont Open in GS

I'm really new here, so bought a game template to ease me in.
But, i cant open in in GS.
It says "Unsupported File Format. The File is newer than the version of Creator"
I'm running Windows 8.

You should contact the developer directly.

My guess is that you bought a Mac template and are trying to open in in Windows. And yes, you should contact the seller for assistance.

Or could it possibly be a nightly build file that doesn't open in older versions? Either way, developer's insight is needed here.
