Hey all, most of you probably haven't seen me before but I have been here, mostly learning, for a few months now. I've just finished my first game, and I wanted to post on here to let you know, give some codes, and say THANKS!
Although I've only posted a few times, these forums and all of you have helped me tremendously while I've been learning GameSalad. Thank you to all of the forum contributors who have given advice and guidance to us all.
A brief back story for those of your interested:
I've been into games since I was 6 years old. I went to school for Computer Animation and fell in love with game art design while there. I've been working in games for the last 6 years casually, from Battlefield 2 mods (Point of Existence) to start-up game companies that never made it. When I got my first iPhone at the end of 2008 I realized how easy it could be to publish games and I decided to start a game company with my fiancee who knew how to code.
I started Ti Studios with my fiancee back in early 2009 and we made our first game, Prolix, that released in June 2009. It did pretty well for about a month (as it was featured in the Games - What's Hot section), but since then it's dropped into oblivion.
The demise of Prolix left us both pretty depressed with the situation, but I was determined not to give up. At the end of 2009 a friend told me about GameSalad which they had read about online, and I checked it out. My fiancee seemed to not be interested anymore, and I don't know programming languages at all. However, I do know game logic extremely well, as I am able to explain exactly how things work in games, I just can't hand-write the code myself. GameSalad seemed like a perfect fit as I referred to it as "Visual Programming". It wasn't until GS updated with the save features that I decided to give it a real try so I signed up, and here's my first game:
Snow Trax - a touch-and-tilt racer. This took me a little over a month of casual work (when not at my full-time job) and I'm really pleased with it. One of the things i'm most pleased about is it's relatively good performance on the 3G devices. I had to optimize (and cut a few things) but in the end I was able to get relatively good performance on the 3G. I even added a lower quality setting to improve it even more if desired.

I'm working on an update right now that will add Nitrous tanks on the level that if you pick up give you a short speed burst. Also going to look at making the background scroll a small amount as you progress through the level (if it doesn't take too much frame rate off). Possibly allowing auto-rotation to the other side, and finally adding maybe 4 more levels and some new jumps.
@izam - are you in Japan? The codes are US only. If you have a US account I can probably scrounge up one.
Could you email me a code? izam@afzane.com
I'd love to run this on my ipod!
By the way the gameplay from the youtube video you created looks awesome. Could you add a "Cool!" notification or some points for any somersault done or any trick jumps? That would be quite fun for players.
Great job!
