Tizen Publishing - Too Many Errors

giacomopoppigiacomopoppi Member, PRO Posts: 914
Hi everyone. I am getting this problem when i try to sign the widget file obtained. (see attached screenshot)

"Too Many Errors"

I have tried publishing different games, with no success and I have also tried publishing using the windows 7 TizenIDE resulting in the same identical problem.

Anyone know the issue?

Note: when testing in the simulator the GS loading spins endlessly and never loads. (see screenshot). I believe this might be a GS related issue (?)

They sent me that same screenshot as reason for rejection. My bad for submitting without testing, but I thought was worth the shot to make the contest deadline.

The same by me. I´ve done this:

    - remove all Apple related items from my game (Game Center, IAP, IPad resolution, etc.)
    - implement the "back"-button behavior
    - publish my game project on GS web publishing in the Tizen section (did not complete the EULA and description fields, only the mandatory ones)
    - click refresh page... when message appears that game is ready, don't click on "click here", instead click on "download" button next to "generate" button to get unsigned .wgt
    - open TizenIDE,
    - import .wgt to Project Editor (like it's described in the GS Cookbook or in this thread)
    - don't try to run application in any emulator (it will not work, so we have to trust that everything worked fine...)
    - build project
    - ignore all warnings, errors, etc... (I think that you can do nothing against them, so relax and hope that everything will be fine... I know it's hard, but there is no other choice)
    - take a look in your workbench folder, and locate the new (hopefully signed and proper working) .wgt and you're done
    - send it to Tizen to get approved
    - that's all

Now I have to wait if the game passes the approval-process or if it will be rejected,
I will post results as soon as I get message from Tizen.

By the way: registration as commercial seller was a very quick process, took less than 12 hours, and now I am a commercial distribution seller.

Does anyone has an idea how price politic in Tizen-App-Store will look like?
What will be a reasonable price for a game?
I have charged $ 0.99 and adjusted the funny currencies to a rounded price...

At the moment there is no possibility for me in Germany to buy a Tizen device for testing,
so it would be very fine, if the unsigned .wgts will work in the emulator... (little pre-xmas wish to Santa GSlaus)

@slowcut lets hope the gs staff have a solution, if not I'll try what you did :)

    Dear Slowcut,

When I "build project" the app makes a folder in the workbench directory that includes the .wgt, and folders for actors, images, behaviors, etc.

You are saying that I just send the .wgt to Tizen? ... and not the other stuff? Does the .wgt contain all the other stuff?
  • slowcutslowcut Member, PRO Posts: 164
@iKandy as far as I know, it´s only the signed .wgt. You are asked to add he other stuff like icon, screenshots and description during the app-submitting-process.
But I am also new to this, and I am no expert, and i am still waiting if my app gets approved, so you better ask the GS-guys for advice

Apparently you just upload the .wgt and not the other stuff. So far, I've got two up for review... I'll let you know if they get approved.

I think these errors are outside of our control because it appears to be the same for all of us. Same amount of errors and I bet all in the same places. Line 11(and others)

I ran my app in the tizen emulator with no issues so I would ignore the errors. Even Xcode throws errors on the GS viewer when you build it.

The problem is that the emulator doesn't even run the apps. Thats on my end at least :/

You can ignore the errors and warnings they are being miss reported and are not valid.
  • giacomopoppigiacomopoppi Member, PRO Posts: 914
@BlackCloakGS even though the emulator doesn't load and run the apps?

@giacomopoppi I am not sure what is going on with the emulator but the false errors do not have to do with the emulator issue.

tried uploading a Tizen app but got this error:
    Warning
The Author Signature is missing from the binary.
Check if the Author Signature is valid in IDE and upload the binary file again.

I had this issue too. I uploaded the UNSIGNED widget file to Tizen -- the one downloaded directly from the GS publishing page. That was a mistake on my part. Make sure you upload the SIGNED widget file that the Tizen IDE spits out. That should solve your issue.

    Ah @braydon_sfx didn't watch my video huh...lol
I submitted late at night. I watched your tutorial, but little or no sleep does things and you can easily make a mistake. ;)

Did anyone find a fix for this emulator issue/do the games still run w/o emulator success?
