Music

Hi,
I have a template that I bought and some of the music is not working.
There are two different files the ones not working are a m4a and the ones that do work are a ogg
Can someone explain to me the difference.
Thanks Darlene

    I found it.
The problem is the music file for the background music is not working
in the game. The ones that are not working all all m4a files.

Hey darlene, m4a is an apple audio file. You download these from iTunes... etc. kind of odd that game salad isn't recognizing them when its mainly an apple based dev platform. However, you can download a free audio converter on the web. there are tons to choose from. Just convert it to an mp3 or ogg and I don't think you'll have any problem. I never ran into this problem but I pretty much only buy audio on here from xanadu studios. They are an actual professional production company so I guess maybe that has something to do with it idk.

@darlene57 - If you are using Windows Creator, I had the exact same issue with the MP4's not playing in GameSalad. What I had to do was find a good Audio Conversion program and convert the music into MP4 BEFORE importing them into GameSalad (I ended up going through around a dozen programs before finding one that made files that GameSalad liked).

    So, here it is: http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-Audio-Converter.htm

The best (FREE) Audio Conversion software I found that actually works in GameSalad. I have converted MP3's and WAV's to MP4 with it and it does work.
