Game Center in kids catagory?

I know the new kids section in apple AppStore says no external links. But in my mind Game Center should not be a external link since it takes you to a apple server. But has anyone got a experience with Game Center in a kids section app. Yes I know I can do a parental gate, but I don't think that should be necessary to check a score or achievement. So just would like to hear some feedback if anyone has any.
