Finding Gnomes!

We have worked on Finding Gnomes for ages, not being able to commit to it because of other jobs and stuff, but now it is al last finished. It is released for Iphone (having some problems with Android signing at the moment) but it is maybe released for that platform later. An unexpected adventure awaits!

Do you have what it takes to save your friend?

You receive a mysterious letter from an old friend. In the letter he begs you to meet him at his house to help him solve an awkward situation.
In order to help your friend, you have to chase down a bunch of magical garden gnomes and return them to a witch. But there is a problem. The gnomes will not return unless you complete some tasks for them.

This game is a classic point and click adventure, brought to you by the Swedish developer Peeking Peacock. Finding Gnomes is not another hidden objects game - it is true point and click gameplay from start to finish.

    Nice storyline, I liked the way you did the transitions between the rooms. Fast loading and good challenges. I will try more later when I finish my work today (working in a new adventure too).

    Enjoyed the game, though it crashed on me twice:

    after finding the piano sequence and then tapping the piano
    after the caverns open and walking into the kitchen

    The game crashed on me when I was in the secret island. I got to the final scene when you turn the handle and it crashed. I reopened it and it was just a black screen with the hud. There was nothing I could do after this. Otherwise great game, very enjoyable.

    Yeah, we have experienced crashed that didn´t show up on device testing (strange) so we have taken it down to investigate. The problem is in different places on different devices so some kind of RAM or workload-problem is probably it. Not easy to pinpoint. Sorry for the bad release (we had it tested before launch I promise :) All info about your crashes is appreciated.

    just because the game has crashed shouldnt mean you should take it down off the app store right? you could just release an update?

    Just to let you know, I'm experiencing a crash too before the game actually starts. I get to read the letter at the start of the game and it then crashes.
    I'm on a fairly old iPod Touch 4 though.

    I think you're right to take it down, fix it, and then put it back on again. You wouldn't want to get a load of bad reviews early on because of this issue. Hope you get it sorted, and good luck with it!

    Yeah, you could have left it up, just mentioned in the description that the minor crashing bug is being worked on.

    For me, when I restarted, it put me about two rooms back from where it crashed, but otherwise I had all the items and could continue normally.

    Though if other people are getting worse crashes, I understand.

    Don´t laugh now, but it seems the main problem was iOS7 incompability. I created the game in the updated client but have bad bandwidth and cannot upload projects to the build servers dute to timeout errors. So what do I do, I let my colleague upload the project file. But he have an old client, resulting in (it seems) a bad build. After reupload and rebuild with latest GS client, the crashing seems to have vanished. There may be one problem left but it seems to happen very rarely and I will adress that in an update, it is not critical to the gameplay.

    We decided to take it down because of frequent crashing in ways that broke the game. I hope it will function better now. It isn´t very memory-effective which of course can be a problem for older devices, but it runs smoothly on iPhone4 and up. It may be that a combination of bad luck and stupidity brought this problem on us. Now you know the story :)
