Best time to release game

I am nearing completion of a new app within the next few weeks. I was wondering about what everyone believes to be the best time to release a new app this time of year. Is the time right before Christmas good or best afterwards? Just trying to think ahead...thanks.

ive never had luck with a launch anywhere near the holidays. though i have also know some people to do very well. i think what matters is have a great game and release it when its done. it will take care of itself from there. Im still trying to figure out the great game formula though.
