exc_bad_access from GS viewer

I have compiled and installed the viewer on my ipod and I am getting a exc_bad_access error logging out to the console when the app is started and immediately crashes. I never get to the point of connecting to GS creator. just to note it works in the iphone simulator. also my provisioning profiles work fine with apps that I code straight from xcode. I am compiling for 3.0
