Help With GameSalad Windows ( It Won't Change The Image )

Hi,
I need help been dealing with this awhile now, I have a actor called the ground in a platform game when I make another actor for the ground in a different color these are images I code it the same but it does nothing when I put it in the game can not jump on it. also if I put a different image for the background it will keep the old one even if I delete it.

maybe try seperating your problems, pictures will help a lot also. but let me try to understand
problem 1: where are you changing the color for the ground? Just drag in the platform actors from the top left box so they can all have the same rules... but to change color double click on the platform in the game screen and change there.
problem 2:the new image in background i need more info on, is it a new scene? or just another area in the game?
