Riding Waves: My first game

Hi everyone,

Just published my first GameSalad game two days ago. It's a simple endless "runner" but with boats.

    Nice consistent art style. Music is decent. Crashed a lot on the first few tries, I think this was due to the fact that if I held my finger down a tad too long, it would move all the way to the top or bottom. Surely you designed it this way, but it did cause me to crash quite a bit. Personally, I think I would have been better at it if I had to tap to move each position and holding was disabled..did that make sense?

    Agree with @artfish, it does seem to travel up and down fully quite a lot and ocassionally it seems unresponsive, but I like the look of it. It's very clean.

    When you crash you might want to clear the sea before or after the restart button is started because most of the time I seemed to press restart right before an object and instantly crashed again.

    Nice art - perhaps have a little dude in the boat who talks a bit and then is left stranded in the water after the crash. Will give it a lot more personality and a chance for a 'Save Me' mechanic perhaps.

    great game but here is what I think needs to be improved:

    1)the moving up and down is sometimes not 100% responsive causing me to crash,

    2)unfortunately once I picked up 15 coins no more coins would spawn?? and i want those other boats haha.

    features i think you should include:

    1)more boats for sure ;)
    2)make more obstacles and powerups.

    but overall great game, especially when its only like 5mb

    Just tried this, I think you have a good idea here. I really like the look but I am not finding the controls responsive enough. If you can sort the controls a little I think you have a nice little game here.
