Jump Jump Boom - Now on App Store

Hey everyone! I started using Gamesalad a little over two and a half years ago and I've finally published my first complete game through it. Honestly, this game wouldn't have been possible without all the great updates made to GameSalad in that time. I'm very new to promoting and whatnot, but I figured here would be a pretty good place to start.

The game is called Jump Jump Boom. Here's a video.

And here's a link to where you can buy it on the App Store! (So exciting)

There's a bunch of stuff in this game I'm proud of, such as the way the player grabs onto things and jumps off of them. Also, the parallax are really nice. I actually had to tone those down a bit because of what GameSalad could handle at the time, but I may go back and review that...

Let me know what you think! All advice is welcome!

Wow really interesting game! I really like the concept but I think you should work on the graphics a bit more such as the platforms.

Yeah thanks! This is actually the third or fourth art style we've gone through. One of the past styles had a much more geometric/minimalistic look to it. You can see that here, in an older video I made a bit ago.

Ultimately, my art guy decided he didn't like the geometric flat backgrounds and I didn't argue with him (since the parallax movements were way choppier back then before the last GameSalad update and it ruined the effect).

So the backgrounds changed but the game pieces basically stayed the same. I always liked the minimalist nature of them, though I'm not against replacing it if we can find something that works better.

A big part of the problem has just been that the ground-pieces overlap a lot in some levels. So giving them any texture whatsoever would destroy the illusion that they're one piece.
