Registering my iPad for testing

Ok I'm a bit confused as to what step I need to start at if I already have my iPhone setup for testing/previewing on when I was using Unity3D.

I want to use my iPad to preview my game builds but what step would I start at here in the GS wiki? http://gamesalad.com/wiki/developing_for_iphone:getting_started

Would I need to do the certificate stuff again? ..I know I need to enter the Device ID...

Thanks in advance.

You might be able to skip ahead to this page:

    http://gamesalad.com/wiki/developing_for_iphone:preparing_for_build

But there is another way to work. Get GS Viewer onto your iPad, and then you can live test your games without having to make an app version.

Go here to get GS Viewer:

you'll hopefully see the links to GameSalad iPad Viewer 0.8.5. Here's a video I made a while ago that shows how quickly you can go between testing on different devices:

don't forget to get a new provisioning profile that includes your ipad

you can just add your device under "edit" to an existing profile in ITC

for example i used com.robotsvswizards.viewer on 2 iphones, 1 ipod, and 2 ipads

i think you can go up to 50 devices

Thanks for your help guys. Rob - thanks I got a new profile.

James - do you mean in ITunes Connect on the developer site? Or in xCode...I think that's in xCode but I can't remember where.

on the site - iphone provisioning portal is a devices option

each certificate you make has an option to edit
You can then just add your device with it's UDID
re download your certificate and open it.

that will auto open xcode now now select your device in the xcode screen and it will ask if you want to use the device for development click yes.

after that make sure you read the steps to build the viewer app in xcode very carefully
(found the same place you download the viewer app on your GS profile)

The certificate now has iPad in the profile list on the site, I've redownloaded it but it only opened up keychain and didn't do anything, also didn't open up xcode. :(

Maybe I need to delete the certificate that's there?
