First GameSalad Game - Get de Cheese - HTML5 GS Arcade

The game isnt great but surprisingly my 4 year old plays it at 20 minute intervals. Sadly, my right keypad button doesnt work so I have the right motion set to the 0 key. Too bad GS wouldn't just let me type the word "right." And, while that works OK for me in the GS preview(using the keypad, the 0 is directly beside my broken right arrow key), the uploaded HTML5 game doesn't respond to the keypad and requires the 0 key thats above the keyboard to be used. Not so friendly. Anyways, just my first game, trying to get a feel for GS.

I will check it out later when I'm at a computer.

Add the link to your original post as it makes it easier to check it out without having to do a search

Had one quick go, and it's pretty good for your first one, but I'd recommend amending the controls and re-uploading. The zero key is left of the left cursor, so your left hand on the 0 controls the right movement and the right hand on the left cursor controls the left movement. It's all cack-handed so not comfortable/easy to play >.<

I know, thats what I was explaining in my description. I have no way to set the right motion to the right arrow key. Mine is broken and I can't find a way just type in the the word "right" in the key rule. In my GS preview, the keypad "0" works, which is right beside the right arrow.

Actually, I did change the keys to I,J,K,L and re-uploaded as an update, but it doesn't seem to have taken the update.

Thanks for checking it out though. I learned quite a bit in making it. Its kind of amazing to be able to go from 0 game design knowledge to a working game in a matter of hours.

It is a pretty good feeling! :) Hopefully you'll stick with it and create more.

@JackSoft Found some bugs and can't play it. Tried playing it in Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox, and Explorer and the right arrow key does NOT work in any of them. Also, the sound does not play in Safari or Explorer.

@killerpenguins Right arrow = 0 key. The right arrow on my keyboard is broken. Im not sure about the audio. The audio was OGG and im not so sure Safari and Explorer support OGG. Not sure how to handle that.
