Is it wise to publish game now since iOS 7 is coming?
Or should I wait until Gamesalad fully supports iOS 7?
I just imagine that if I release my game now (while Gamesalad has not yet fully support), and when the iOS 7 devices run it with crashing issues, the bloody customers will have no mercy with the ratings.
I think that would affect heavily on my later sells...

Rumors have the release date as the 10th or 19th of September. I'd be surprised if a new version of GameSalad will be released in time if those dates are close to being correct, as iOS7 hasn't even made it in to the nightly builds.

There could be lots of apps on the market place that stop working with the new iOS, not just GameSalad ones, so you'd hope customers would be a little more patient and hold off slamming all apps with negative feedback.

Very wise question. If your happy to wait, it would make sense to give your game the best chance of being well received... but the wait might start to feel like a long one if its not available within a month of the ios 7 launch. you can of course use that extra time to prepare marketing material, add a bit more polish to the game etc etc.

I believe ther is a change to the icon size as well for iOS 7 so apple will most likely not accept updates without it. Not sure if that affect the binary end of GS or not.

Looks like I have nothing to do but to submit and pray.
Hope the changes for iOS 7 only come fromserver-side, so we don't have to change from Gamesalad creator.
Thanks for the spirit lifting. :D

you could release it now, but in the future, you would have to release a ios7 support update for your game.

Yes I'm running for the release.
I see some customers are so tough, right when the app crashes (may be caused by low memory or some bug), they just go there and give no heart. Just wish they could leave an average rating with information for the developers, so we can serve them better.

    @SingleSparq
I've read that there is in fact an icon size change. But I'm curious where and how we go about fixing this? In iTunes connect it only asks for a Large Icon (1024x1024). The icon Apple is requesting changed for ios 7 is the small icon. But that icon has to be included in the uploaded binary package. Where is it pulling that icon from for GameSalad users? Is it from the portfolio page? If it is, that icon is minimum 512x512 which far exceeds the new ios 7 icon size (of 57x57 or something like that I believe).
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks!

The current icons come from the single icon on the portfolio page. GameSalad resizes them in the binary package so hopefully they'll amend the server to resize that single icon to the iOS 7 size as well.

The iTunes Connect one is for the App Store only.

    Thanks @KevinCross
Well this all definitely blows haha. My game is waiting for review. Clearly it's going to get rejected because of the icon size. It's a shame GS couldn't at least have that portion ready (to handle the icon output size).

They might not reject it, seeing as iOS7 hasn't been released yet. Good luck with the review.
