I think you might find it hard to raise $500 for a game without any previous track record, which would prove to people the game will a) be finished b) not be a total flop. Also with the money going towards 'better equipment' people are less likely to invest rather than saying what exactly it will be for.
If you are trying to buy a mac, just stick with the windows platform for the moment, then buy one with a few games ready to go up your sleeve. Even if you don't make the entire game on Windows, at least build basic functionality in which you could create a promotional video from, as a picture isn't enough.
And if you are trying to buy GS Pro, wait till the rest of your game is ready, so you don't waste any of the precious 12 months.
Finally, unfortunately with just 1 post you won't get much credibility around these parts.
