Invasion of the Cutie Bots [iOS Universal] - Work in Progress

You play as Gritch and Zitch and you defend your creepy world from the onslaught of cute animal robots brought forth from the evil Dr.Whiskers. You slash your way from cute sparkplugs and Candy gorillas and you climb candy coated walls as you try to reclaim your world. Will Dr. whiskers take over your world or will you stop him?
We wanted to make a serious platforming game where you had two characters with different abilities. So Gritch is the big red guy he's got the stronger attack and can also double jump but is slow. Zitch is the smaller green guy whose faster and can attack at a distance but does less damage.
So between those we have a mix in the levels where you need to switch back and forth in real time and we wanted to give a pretty crazy dark but cute environment. Anyway check out the screenshots and I'll keep this thread updated as we make progress.
If you guys have any questions or suggestions please let me know!

The health meter could also use something like an outline or glow, just to make it still visible when the health is at a low level. You don't really look at all the metrics on screen (e.g. health, ammo count, etc) when you're focused on the gameplay -- you just sort of use your peripheral vision for that, so you gotta make sure it pops and is distinguishable even when you're not looking at it directly.
Good job, keep it up, can't wait for more updates from you guys!
@BurberryArts Well then that settles it we'll have to make it pop more. Thanks!
@OskarDeveloper How so?
Here's some gameplay footage it's a bit choppy from the recording but we've tried to make the characters pop a bit more. The backgrounds and some art isn't in yet so the black background and the white actors might be a little weird. Let me know what you guys think!
I think the teddy bear boss looks pretty epic

And yes, that wiggly nose.. haha! :O)
@matarua Thanks! Anything stand out to you from what was posted?
@TheGabfather Whoop! Yeah that's a problem I didn't notice till you just spotted it. Fixing that right now.
@kinzua Yellow dots have been killed I was going for a lantern glow but it didn't seem to work out that way. Thanks for the support!
I should also mention it's running all choppy in the video because like a dummy I didn't set the capture software to high quality. More screenshots soon! You guys rule with all this great feedback!
Sound is still going in so I'll just be doing my best Bob Ross impression.
It's a pretty big game, I hope you guys are already doing Ad Hoc testing, even if you're still doing initial debugging.
Also for the health pick-ups, I hope you can implement an animation sequence that is more pronounced
Needless to say though, awesome job you guys -- the effort is evident.
edit: Pretty sick 2nd boss. Definitely looks challenging -- and regarding your comments as to his mood adjusting his attacks, did you mean that or is he just following a pre-encoded pattern based on his health level? :-?
Hmmm def agreed on the health I'll make that guy burst.
Part of me wants to be like "Oh we did this complex algorithm where he changes mood based on real human emotion patterns!" but yeah when he hits half health he switches to a different set of moves based off an integer and a timer.
Attracts me on the first look at the screen shots.
Can't wait to deal with the deadly bear.
:ar!
Darren.
When I see someone release a game, first thing come to my head is "Oh man, these guys must have been stayed up late for months!".
Seeing games released every month gives me motivation.
Thanks...
@BoomshackBarry Awesome! I will take that compliment!
@ikhoata Go out and get it dude, nothings stopping you from getting a ton of games out. If you ever want help on anything message me.
