Good afternoon world.
I thought I'd share the promo video I've just finished creating for @Riffel for his new iOS game Crustacean Nation.
Riffel had won a 'promo video from Stormy Studio' from our old 'Think Outside The Game Box' indie game design contests.
After being very very tardy I finally got round to producing a promo video for him and his latest game.
I do professional motion graphics/animation by day so it was nice to be able to mix my love of indie games with my skills in animation and promo videos.
Check it out below:
Hopefully it does its job well, keeping it upbeat, showing of the games key features and giving a good dose of real gameplay.

Did you render the iPhone yourself? The light rays on the phone are awesome!
@LeonardDeveloper ... The iphone is a great model that is rendered inside of Adobe After Effects. I lit the scene and tweaked the reflections but it's actually pretty well setup model to begin with. I dropped the specular and reflections on the screen quite a bit to make sure the game content had a bit more impact.
I've since given it a shout out on

Cool stuff, I tried doing some lens flares like that in AE before, Took about 3 hours to render and was about 32GB's even after compressing was something like 12GB's The flares still looked pretty sweet though :-)
Big fan of your work stormy, Couldn't believe the BT ad was all you!, I saw that on the telly and it was just incredible to be able to see that you did that :-)
There's a great 3rd party plugin for Ae called 'Optical Flares' the lens flares are amazing, tonnes of presets, option to make your own custom ones, can be controlled manually or react to lights in the 3D scene.
