Newbie Questions

Hello Gamesalad! I am new here and I have some questions...

1. What is the ideal size for android game character sprites?
2. What is the ideal size for android game backgrounds?
3. When animating a sprite is there an ideal range for number of frames? (With genres like fighting and brawler in mind)
4. Can you make games like the 2d streetfighters in gamesalad?
5. Is cartoon pornography legal in the world of mobile apps?

Thank you very much for your time!

Yes street fighter is possible, We have a free demo http://www.deepblueapps.com/basic-street-fighter-starter/ along with other fighting games that may interest you like double dragon.

I Would say keep the animation to a minimum.

    Darren.

Thanks for that, that was very inspiring! Now I can imagine the possibilities. Before I go pro however I would like to test the engine first to see if I can really use it properly. A follow up question regarding pro membership: Can you sell the games that you create in other sites like google play? And based on your own experience, were you able to earn back your investments?

You can submit your games with the Pro version to the App Store, Google Play, Android, Kindle, And Barnes & Noble.

As far as porn goes, that will be between you and the app reviewers. Normally, they don't allow that sort of thing.

Making back your investment will depend on the quality of your game, and if it sells well enough. I have made back my investment with the Pro version GameSalad with my last game, and a few cases of beer, but that's about it.

I see, I am seriously considering going pro. I've been reading the Windows Manual and looking at the games and continuously building interest. Is there a chance that I can preview your games? Thanks for sharing your experiences btw.

As a matter of fact, I have my latest game set to free until Monday. You can check it out - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/boomtown-heights/id540445448?ls=1&mt=8

Oh I see, seems I can't preview it, I downloaded iTunes and it needs me to put in a credit card in order to download anything. Lol this is why I don't have anything Mac, cc all the time. Still the game looks good from the screens, thanks for sharing, I'll jump into creating my first game soon. Good luck!
