Actors don't appear in preview.

I am currently messing around and experimenting with touch controls in Gamesalad. A problem I've come across is that while I can edit my game the touch controls are at the bottom of the screen but in preview they've dissappeared. I had made sure that visible was ticked and that they were at the front layer.
