Exported my Windows game and published it through Mac now things are broken

I built my game in the Windows creator and I used export and opened it up in the Mac creator.

When I preview the game it's fine with everything where it should be the problem comes when I publish it through the mac creator.

The actors all seem to become entire disjointed, actors aren't where they should be, the art for the actors is resized within the box to smaller than it should be. Is there any way to fix this? Any common causes?

Thanks!

So you did everything on Windows Creator first (everything fine when using the Preview there), then you exported your file to use with the Mac Creator -- now, do things look messed-up when you use the Preview and/or Viewer already, or do you have to Publish it first and then use on an actual device before it starts acting weird?

I transfer projects from Windows to Mac (and back) a lot and so far I've had no problems like that (only smaller things like short Rules made in Windows that won't fire up on Mac, or space characters inputed in Windows becoming invalid inputs in Mac, or M4A files not working on Windows, etc -- easy to resolve).

When it comes to Actors being slightly mis-aligned / displaced though, like in your case, I find it's a common disparity between the output from the Preview mode of Creator and from an actual build running on the device. But always nothing too extreme (from my experience). Maybe just 10 pixels lower that something should be at originally.

Is it a big game (i.e. almost complete)? If you want to investigate further, you can try recreating some of those issues by rebuilding the Actors, Rules, and Files (e.g. images) in both Mac and Windows Creator (so Export that partial project made with Windows to Mac and see if the results are the same) -- but really, this isn't a fix. Just something to help you and the rest of us Windows+Mac users gain more information.

Also submit a ticket if you think it's a really nasty bug.

edit: sorry, I missed out on some important points from your original post. I did a strike on some parts of my post.

I also have some actors with transparent pngs that go entirely opaque white. I tried deleting and replacing the actor but it changed nothing. When I preview these levels everything is white in the background actors.

It's a fairly big game, I did bring one of the actors back into the game recently and that fixed the problem in the build but in preview everything is white. If that's the case then I suppose I can just work off the builds other than that the build is suffering from exactly how you described.

I'm assuming the way is redragging the actors in and modifying them?

@NEONDEVIL BUMP BUMP post this in the pro section of for us all. I'm having these problems with EVERY game I export on windows. transparencies turning opaque, attribute loss and actor reposition DRAMATIcally, or are completely destroying? mouse position recognition off by 100s of pixels. -_- =,(
