@SnapFireStudios I don't normally like to discuss numbers but I know I'd be very curious myself so here it is:

    46 day of review
    30 day after

This is approaching double total sales from what it was before the review. Very nice boost. :)

That's great and I am happy for you, but to be honest I thought a game like that would get a lot more. You sure you didn't forget to add a zero or two? :)

@123App Tellin' you man, it's hard out there for an app! Oskar and I have been contacted by a number of companies looking to promote the app in their marketplaces and on their apps, so some exposure is definitely coming down to line in the next couple of months. :)

@iamcartez Glad you and your wife are enjoying it! :D

Yeah, it's nice to know that if you make a quality app, even if it doesn't skyrocket to the top of the charts, it will get noticed and still stands a chance of reaching a wider audience.

It's seems like, unless you go through a publisher or blow peoples minds with a super high quality game, gone are the days of the overnight success.

@DeadlySeriousMedia Not entirely. There is a lot that goes into marketing. The truth is that only a handful of publishers actually help beyond what you can do yourself. The answer is complex. There are certain days to launch, certain ways to make screenshots, and certain keywords to use. It's becoming more difficult to make a quality app and have it be noticed but it's not impossible.

BTW guys I have a book about this coming out soon.

@DeadlySeriousMedia forgot this- good game. Interesting mechanics. I would take the TA review and try to present that to bigger news sites to see if they pick it up.

It also comes down to stuff like the genre of the game... it's tough to compete with an endless runner, as there are SOOOOOOO many of them. My endless Runner, Bogan's Run has pretty much nothing but 5 star reviews, yet only about 20 people bought it before I made it free. lol. I could have pushed it harder, I guess, but I'd already moved on to the next game. I won't stop until at least ONE of my games is successful. Haha.

Flip Runner has gone free! Also, added sounds for all the hazards, and music and sound on/off switch!

It was just set to free today! This was great timing because it seems we have an admirer!

Haha, the sign of a really good game is copies I suppose.
If I may, did you set it to free because you we're making much money from it, or just because you didn't want people to have to pay, or.. No problem if you don't want to share ;)

Best of luck with it! You'll have to let us know how much the downloads go up after switching to free at some point. :)

@snapfirestudios Yeah, the switch was due to the death of sales. We were also approached by a very popular company about a promotion for when we were ready to switch to free, but in the end it turned out the deal was more for their benefit. Never trust an offer of free publicity. :)

The copies new release might help boost our download numbers, or so I hope! :P

I'll keep the community updated when the numbers roll in.
