Image Import Issue

I am trying to import my background and it continues to be too large. It is a PNG, 960x640 and 72dpi. However, when I bring it in to GameSalad it is extremely large. Am I doing something wrong? I can create a video to illustrate the issue if this will help.

I am extremely excited to get into GameSalad and create games, any advice will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I scoured the forums and googled for quite a while before asking, my apologies if this has been covered.

    @bg76397 dumb question for you...
    Are you trying to bring that background into an iPhone project? Perhaps you heard that retina graphics need to be double the intended size and then went into import it but realized its larger than the scene? If so that's normal. Two fixes. Either
    1) manually resize it now to 480x320 (don't worry it will retain its retina size for retina devices)
    2) or turn on resolution independence in your project. This will automatically half your image in size but keep both a hi res and low res image for the game to use depending on your audiences device

    Thanks for the help so far. Here is a video of the issue. I tried bringing in a image and now it is too small! What dimensions or settings should I be using to not get the black bars on the sides?

    Sadly, the music was copyrighted.

    Thanks again.

    If you want to use a 960x640 image you need to set the Legacy iPhone size in creator.
    The video shows that you are using the default iPhone5 size (1136x640).
